BLOOMING

In these days we are witness of the phenomenon of blooming in the vineyard: one of the most crucial phases for grape yield.

The buds that have panicle inflorescences, with a slight delay caused by the temperatures of the past few weeks, begin to show the first floral bud that opens.

The duration of the blooming phase varies between 10 and 15 days, followed by the fruit set phase. Depending on the grape variety, the experts have noticed different percentages of flowering that are between 10 and 30%. It is precisely at this moment that the plants begin a phase of self-regulation in which the nutrients are distributed between the bunches and the leaves in a delicate balance that will be fundamental for a high potential quality of the grapes.
